Not very active on this forum.... (more for piranha specific forums piranhakeepers.com) but I see you guys have a lot of good information. And I am branching out away from piranhas, wnat advice on these tankmates. To sart off they are all going to be ideally around 5-7" and start in a 125g tank. And will be moved into a custom plywood tank most likely 8' long 3' deep and 2' tall.

Here is what I would LIKE to keep in the tank let me know if you see any potential problems. As I have never kept ANY of these fish except the jaguar cichlid which I already own.

Jaguar Cichlid

Armatus Payara

Mono Peacock Bass

Mbu Puffer

* Those are the main 4 I want.... but other ones I would like to see in there *

Wolf Fish

Red Tail Catfish

Silver Arowana

Jack Dempsey

Let me know if that is crazy.... or what you guys think. Thanks a lot !

Jaguar Cichlid good to go

Armatus Payara should be fine

Mono Peacock Bass good to go

Mbu Puffer should be OK, some can be hit or miss for temperment, best to wait for someone else to chime in.

Wolf Fish a single species tank only for wolfs

Red Tail Catfish not in the 125g or ply, get too large

Silver Arowana I would not keep one with aggressive cichlids like jags, I would also be concerned about the MBU

Jack Dempsey good to go

^ see in red please. Everything I mention above is regarding your plywood tank, not the 125 gallon long term.

I would probably skip the MBU... they are quite temperate from what i have read, but they also have the jaws and teeth to do serious damage to any fish that might harass it...

how large do those rtc get???
