Haven't done one of these in a while, so why not, here are my 55, 20 long, and 15 grow out tanks with filtration and lighting explanations.

Let me know what you think.

Your tank set ups are really really good.
the 55 seems to be decorated in a way that not only provides good cover and territories for the fish but the colours of the fish really stand out against the substrate and background. thats a fat healthy little oscar you have there, and I'm impressed that you tried Tiger Barbs cause i've heard of them working with Africans but I've never heard of them with american cichlids.

The other two tanks have lots of movement and seem to be set out well for the fish you have in them. Also that HRP is really really stunning. such bright blue colour really contrasts to the green plants and wood. You should be proud of your set ups they all look great.

Thanks Strat! The tiger barbs were something that I've heard of working before but never tried myself. I needed a hardy taller bodied fish that my oscar couldn't eat until much much later that wasn't skittish. This ruled out GDs, SDs, most of the tetras available in my area (just for sheer activity levels), and rainbowfish were too expensive (I wanted bosemani not australian haha). They have definitely fattened up too (the largest is just shy of 3"!!)

Thanks about the HRP, I'm really happy with the planted tank right now since I've added the wood and the water sprite and the plant down front. Now comes the waiting game for the 75 stand...

I can confirm that Boesmanni rainbows are a good dither fish to choose, I had them in with my grow out flowerhorn a while ago and they lasted forever.
