How damaging is it to leave a tank outside in the winter? I know it’s not good, but if the seams looked good at the time it’s brought inside would it be safe?

And is it safe to bring a tank straight in from the cold? Or will that damage the tank?

Tank in question is a 215 glass tank.

I wouldn't worry about bringing it in, shouldn't damage it. And silicone is pretty tolerant of temperatures, freezing weather wouldn't immediately damage it. But if you're talking leaving a tank outside for a couple weeks vs one that's been sitting outside unused for a year or two that's different.

What I'd do if it's been outside for a long time is wait until spring, fill it up and check for leaks before bringing it inside. Unless you've got a garage or something you can risk a big leak.

Hmmm... ok. Thank you.
This one has been out all winter this year. I’ll pass then.
Not sure why anyone would store a tank outside. Seems like such a waste to me to spend so much on a tank only to be so careless.
