Tanks in the Garage

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
being in dallas i dont think you would have too many problems as long as you have a heater.

thats what i figured. i wasn't actually worried about the cold as much as i am worried about the heat. Would i need a chiller in the insane summertime heat or just no heater during the summer?

even if your water in there got to high 80's or low 90's, the heat would be ok since it will cool down in the evenings. keep in mind that the water gets hot in the tropics too :)

Good question - just set one up in the garage down here by Fort Hood - just have a 250w heater in it now and it does fine have more to throw at it when it gets colder. I used to keep a 40 gal minnow tank in spring and early summer in Arlington in my garage. - It never had any problems.

very true. im going to use a pond heater during the winter and probably just a normal one in the summer. seriously im sure the amazon has been plenty hot with p bass swimming around

an acrylic tank really helps keep the temps stable during extreme weather :)

it insulates much better than glass does
