Right now i have a red terror baby ( 1 1/2 inch) and 4 tiger barbs 2 blue electric ciclids in a 30 gallon semi planted tank.

I will be getting a 75 gallon tank prob in two months. Is there any fish that will get along with the red terror? I put in two blue electric cichlids , they are the same size and he seems to chase them around alot, i do not see any nip marks on them atm.

I did find a tiger barb two days ago with no fins...

Any suggestion or insight on this fish?

well the tiger barbs wont last long in that tank, and once the RT gets to about 6" either will the Jds

i would sugest getting meaner cichlids that can hold there own against a red terror, like red devil, butti, jags things in that nature

anyway good luck
:D

Would a tiger oscor be good? If there the same size? Even tho i know the terror would out grow in .

probably get beaten badly by the RT

Tiger Oscar wont be any match for a Red Terror and you will need a bigger tank for the Red Terror say 125g min when he grows up. Of course there are always exceptions some people find that if they grow fish up together sometimes they will coexist but as you have said he is already looking at your EBJD's as lunch it don't look good.

In a 75? Nothing. Unless it's a breeding parter...on the other side of a partial or full divider. I have a young pair in a 75gal and the female would be toast if she didn't have the safety valve (partial divider).

I had a tiger oscar that did not fair well with other CA/SA. A smaller female firemouth terrorized the poor Oscar. Oscars do better by themselves IMO.

I ended up returning the red terror to the store, I want a nice tank full of fish just not one..

Right now i have 4 tiger barbs 6 red phantom tetras,
