Experts advice needed:
Is it ok to use a 30gallon cube (22"L x 21"W x 19") as a hospital tank for sick/injured large CA cichlids that are 12" to 13" big or would it just stress out the fish even more since of the tank is small.
I would keep the tank, if its ok.

Thx Chris

i think it would be okay as long as the water is tip top shape and filtration is at a maximum. i just prefer to use larger tanks since water chemistry is more stable.

30 gallons is plenty of room for a hospital tank. in my opinion, smaller the better, because it requires less medication. that doesn't mean that you should stick an adult midas in a 10 gallon, but you know what i mean.

I think it would be a fine hospital tank. Just needs good filteration.
