I have two tanks with sand substrates, they are both for small fish(Tetras, and Cons)
Big fish have more waste and that can be a clean up nightmare...

Heres some pics of my native tank w/ sand and some river rock. Clean up can be a hassle because the siphon will suck up the sand, so you have to be careful, but its well worth it because it looks amazing!
all of my pics of the sand are usually starring the fish but I have alot of driftwood and fake plants.
