Tankshot, and question about jag

Aside from small squabbles my tank is fairly peaceful, but this morning I noticed something on my Jaguar's tail, a small white bump, he seems healthy so im not too worried, but any idea what it is?

I don't know what it is, but IME ANY bump, scrape, scratch, cut or anything else that can possibly get infected is always something to worry about.

Looks superficial to me, keep an eye on it and if it starts growing in size raise the temp. a bit and add some salt.

I agree with above tip. My Jag and Oscar have spots like that fairly often due to a little rough housing.. The salt seems to clear it up pretty quickly.

My Male Synspilum that i gave to my uncle had a red thing sticking on the caudal fin for a while and while it grew it came off...maybe a big parasite...
