I know Indian almond leaves are good. But are
guava leaves,
eucalyptus leaves,
coconut leaves,
banana leaves,
Coconut husks,
Coconut stem,
Banana stems,
Mango leaves,
Safe?
I remember seeing someone using eucalyptus leaves on YouTube but when I researched on some forums they said that it would harm.
If they're safe it's the best option for me as I have two giants in the backyard .
I do know about maple oak etc but they don't grow where I live.
Thanks

I have used coconut shells, and allowed many leaves that fall in the tank to stay.
Mango, is related to poison ivy, and the leaves are known to cause irritation in humans, but as to whether fish are affected, that's another matter.
Fresh banana stems exude as viscous sap so I have avoided them. I use the leaves for cooking though.

I don't believe there is much difference in benefit between different leaf species (as long as they are not toxic), although some break down more quickly than others, getting messy.
In the US I found maple leaves disintegrated very quickly, magnolia held up longer.

A few months back i experimented with almond leaves, to see if they lived up to the hype.
They did not lower my pH even a 10th on the pH scale over months.

I've used coconut leaves, mango leaves and guava leaves in my tanks for over a year now with no ill effects.I find that guava leaves last a bit longer (doesn't rot as soon as some other leaves and make a mess)
