tanning...?

i think my oscar is getting a tan from my light think thats bad???
he was white now he's a tan color...... i got a coralife 36 inch light balest it has too lights a white& a almost purple one ..don't kno if its to strong or wut.gett back to me i'll be waiting eh???

I doubt its getting a tan. Juvie oscars change color quite a bit before they settle into the color they will stay as adults. How big is your guy?

umm he/she is a salmonpink oscar and it's a 6 1/2 7"
pink with black fins they were clear when i first got the fish like 5 months ago
its gotten twice the size. sice then ?? when the fish looks around its still white around its eyes...lol? how do i tell if its a boy or girl ???
