I recently purchased an Eheim 2250, but it didn't come with tap connectors. I was wondering if I could build them, does anyone know how? Thanks in advance.

i think it would be safer to try to find tap connectors rather than build them, try to shop around, try ebay, google it, i think you'll find some, i googled it and there were a few results that may work

:iagree:
You don't want all that tank water proving your handy-work! :WHOA:
Did you get a good price for the 2250? That's on my short list of wants.

USMC,
Consider a pair of 2217's instead. The 2250 and 60 don't come with nearly as much and the 17's will save you big. :D

I saw an Eheim genuine parts online shop. I have not ordered from this site.

North American site is at following link:

http://www.eheimparts.com/client/homepage.aspx

Not Bad at all, I ordered about 65.00 worth of replacement parts for my Pro II 2028. All came in about a week, they sent me a email with tracking. (Fed Ex Shipping) I was very happy with Eheim.

Just a FYI.......

I've scoured hardware stores to get ideas on how to make good tap connectors but out of frustration I always wind up taking the plunge and getting the eheim ones. Beleive me, I hate the price-tag too but it beats spending an eternity looking at bins & bins of plumbing parts. If someone else finds a good way to DIY those things, I wanna know too!

Yeah I got mines from drfostersmith.com for 170ish shipped.
