ok ppl i have a 155 gal tank and a 55 gal sump. sump is under the stairs running fantastic. i have just this weekend got myself a water feed to the sump via a a tap and also a drain pipe from a pump in said sump to the sink waste.

im trying to find out the easiest way to dose dechlore. microlift ammonia remover. to make this all automated...

it takes 10 mins to switch the pump on and off remove 10gal and replace with the tap.. also 1 teaspoon of dechlor..

i want this as automated as possible. timers and float switches.. maybe 2 gal a day. its a freshwater tank.. i can get everything going its just the dechlore for chloramines etc. i have no room room for water staorage...

any ideas ppl

also does chloramine water dilute with tank water. ie..
2ppm in tapwater
i do a 10% water change is this does this go down to 0.2ppm mmmm.. shurly it dilutes

if your tank is treated and you do a 10% water change... only add the chemical for the new 10% being added, so for your 155gal, after a 10% water change, you dose for 15-16 gallons of water

I have thought about this before. I believe activated carbon removes chloralamines. You could run it on the tank or find an inline filter.

the mind boggles..lol

Check out the stickies in the DIY forum. There are multiple setups that incorporate auto water changers. I did one myself. I have done a couple different versions.
