My direct tap water PH is 7.2. If i let the water age overnight, the ph goes up to 7.6(same with my tank). Does that mean I can't make water change directly from tap water?

can someone clear this for me.

thank you very much

I have a ranchu goldfish. i bought it for $125. I want to be really careful on my water change. I just found out that my tap water has 7.2 PH, My tank has 7.6 PH. I just want to know if i can wc directly from tap water or should i age the tap water to a bucket.

I'm just curious, i know a lot of people make their wc directly from tap water and i just want to know the secret =).

My tap water does the same thing, and I change directly from the tap with water conditioner. I have been doing this for quite some time and haven't had any problems.
If you age your water the chlorine will dissipate and p.h will stabilize which is obviously better, I'm just too lazy to fill up all of those buckets I guess. No secret really, just a p.h test kit and sodium bicarbonate (up)or sodium biphosphate(down).
