tape worm

hi did a search and couldnt find any conclusive answers.

my channa micro has the following hanging out of his anus:

someing white - dental floss size and appearance

there's 3 of them in different lengths. If I look closely, appears there's unifom segments on what Im guessing are tape worms. One is about 3 inches long, the others 1 and 0.5 inch.

There's info on mixing or injecting non-live food with meds. Unfortunately he's not on a non-live diet. Pretty sure he caught this from feeders.

Will head to LFS's tomorrow but advice from you guys is much appreciated. thanks.

Try treating it with levamisole hydrochloride, fenbendazole, flubendazole or praziquantel. Levamisole hydrochloride is the most powerful treatment. Praziquantel is pretty mild and can destroy flukes and most internal parasites. Always quarantine your feeder fish. Treat every feeder you get with praziquantel to destroy flukes and internal parasites.
