hello everyone my name is Kristen. I'm new to this forum I just wanted to say hi and ask for some advice about my pink toed tarantula. So her name is Jillian I got her at a reptile show (I'm not sure if it is a girl but that's what I'm going with) I'm not sure how old she is but judging by her size I don't think shes very old. So she just completed her first molt and I'm not sure when I should offer her food. It took her a month and a half to molt. she made a web in the corner of her tank and has been in it the entire time. Now that shes finished molting she still hasn't come out. I feed her roaches instead of crickets because a guy at the show suggested that they would be better for her. I would appreciate any feed back, I want to make sure she's healthy and happy.

Has she come out of the web? How long ago was the molt? You need to wait a bit after the molt so their fangs have a chance to harden. After that they're fine. If you need more advice i would suggest joining here:http://www.arachnoboards.com/ab/forumdisplay.php?2-Tarantula-Questions-amp-Discussions
I usually wait a week for all my adults, but if they have particularly small abdomens I will feed before this. You will know when the fangs have hardened as they return to black from white
