just looking on ideas what to use to target feed... so far i seen one ray eat but not the other,, i know its still early and he might not want to eat yet but im looking for some ideas on how to get the food down to him. tank is 30" high..

Worried about other tank mates getting the food before the rays? Maybe some rigid aquarium tubing? Pvc? That would help you get the food to the bottom to target feed.

well so far i have them all eat except for one ray. granted they have only been in the tank 2 days so it might me early or he might be picky and only want live black worms,,,im not too worried as he is not wasting away... i got some healthy rays.. i tried pvc but the food doesnt want to sink.

Well first the food has to sink for the rays to even have a chance of consuming. Then just use a pvc to target feed, or feed at nite with lites off. Rays are constantly cruising for food.

I'm sure he will be fine and is just acclimating. You sound like you got it figured out. It can be difficult when you have a new fish that isn't eating... But you just want him to eat so you know they will be healthy and happy!

i thaw cubes of frozen bloodworms and then just use a cheap standard turkey basteri picked up for 2 bucks at the grocery store. tank is 2 feet deep so i have to put my arm in. target feed right in front of him. first day he was scared and buried himself before coming out to eat but he learned quickly the turkey baster meant food

I used a pvc cage. I would lower it on the ray I wanted to feed then put a pvc tube down to the cage and put food through it.

thanks for all the tips,, as for now i do not think i need to target as the 2nd ray decided to come out and eat. extremely frustrated though,, my mail did not come,, i ordered $100 worth of frozen food and online says it was delivered but it never came..and of course its saturday so the place was closed when i got home and so was the usps customer service...so i had to run to my LFS, spend bukoo dollars to get me through the weekend...

I was thinking of tongs.. I just don't think they will be long enough
