I am setting up a 55 gallon brackish tank. To start with and then graduate the fish to a 200 gallon when appropriate. I wanted to run some target fish with some monos and columbian sharks. I was asking at the LFS if they could get some target fish he said he had one. It was in full marine conditions already. He said this would not be a good idea to have target fish as they are very aggressive. Has anyone had the same problem? He said that they will attack just about anything. Any info would be appreciated.

First off I've had my monos for 2 months and bought them under an inch, they are now close to 3 inch and I'm searching for a bigger tank to replace my 130. They are extremely active and grow quickly. I hear the same thing about Colombians but I haven't been able to keep one that long. Start looking for an upgrade asap.
The best thing i Would recommend is just check and see if they will return the fish if it is in good condition and does not get along with your current stock.
Sorry for the book writing- lol
