What are some tough target fish that could live reasonably in a 55? I have a breeding pair of salvinis that are making quick work of the giant danios currently in there. Maybe if I can keep other fish in there, he wont take his aggression out on the female.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Convicts.. hardy and cheap as hell. I got a male thats about 2" and he gives my 5" barred midas a run for its money.

I have a Striped Anostomus as a target fish in my Convict tank. He's fast as hell and they get twice as big as a Giant Danio. My male Convict loves to give him a good chase but can never catch hm.

i had tiger barbs with my salvini. A school of 10 worked very well for a year or so and one would disappear here and there but hey they're "target" fish for a reason right?

Single Sex Convicts work well in my Grammode Tank!

I agree with convicts, they are fast. Giant Danios are fast too, however, so Keep a close eye.

Thanks for the suggestions, but it's not an issue any more. He killed her over the weekend. Bastard!

He Killed her?

Man I thought Female Sal's were the aggressor(s) in that Sal race!

Sorry for your loss!

well that really does stink! that it died!

if you are willing to try! try some fast schooling fish! like the tiger barbs!

cons could work but i dont kno if some of them would be daring enough to go close enough for the male want to beat up on them!

so something schooling that's fast!
