I ran across some at a LFS a while ago, and they seemed interesting, but to my knowledge they are brackish as adults. I used the search but there isn't too much basic info out there about them.
Are they able to live in freshwater?
Also, apparently other than being predators, I read somewhere they are big fin/scale biters. Anyway, just wanted to ask people who have expereience with these, because they seem pretty interesting.

Target fish are reported of getting up to a foot long. They are born in river mouths and go from full fresh to brackish and in some cases salt. They have a special digestive system that can break down scales, which are a main part of their diet. They also rip fish eyes in a matter of seconds of introduction. You can get them on pellets. I kept 4 at 1" in full fresh. After about 5 months they were 5" and started breathing hard. Guess its around that size that more salt is needed in the water. Never was able to get more. Great looking fish

thanks for the assistance on my query...I might look into getting back into brackish, as these are interesting fishes.
