I've kept Terapon Jarbua aka Target Fish for over a year! When they are smaller they are scale nippers. Unless they are with equally agressive or Scale-less fish they can and will harass them. They are extremely fast and skittish. I've kept two in a 6' long tank. They do learn to eat all foods, including pellets, but prefer live fish! This is where they are deceptive. My fish died from trying to eat fish that were too large and not meant for them. But they are able to take fish 1/2 to almost 1/3 their size or a bit larger.

It probably best to keep them in a group of 4+. One fish dominated the other for a while, then the roles turned and it was frustrating to witness. They were in with much larger scats and G.Tile. They are very hardy fish, but you must keep them on the HIGH end of the salinity spectrum... and again give them PLENTY of swimming room. I'd say a 125 should be the bare minimum for four of these guys.

Good luck.
