Tarpon Questions

If this is in the wrong place, by all means MOD please move to correct place.

One of my LFS has a 12" or so Tarpon on sale for $199 I believe... I don't really see them for sale nor do I have the tank to house one but is this a reasonable deal?

Depends on age and health. It's about average.

I've seen it there for quite some time now, maybe a year or two. And it seems to be in good health.

I suppose that isn't too bad of a price for the size that it is. I bought 2 tarpon from Fish Room Plus and they were about 5-7" each. i paid about $190 for the both of them... picked them up because they look cool and I have never seen them in stores here in MD.

depends on how much you like the fish and ur wallet : ) i have a 11" tarpon, looks great , love it....
but a lil warning though, they r kinda a wimp, they let other fish scratch em if other fish wanna do that...

some people say that they do better in brackish or water with salt in it, but both of mines are full fresh
