Hey guys I have a quick question about my Tat. I had 2 tats in my 90 by themselves. When they both were in there they would attack quarantined feeders like no other, but since then one of them unfortunately died. My water parameters were perfectly fine. One day I woke up, and he was stuck to the filters. Any ways now my tat will kinda just sit there and wait rather than chase the feeders like he used to. My question is what can I do to get him to start attacking the feeders like he used to? New tankmates? Thanks for the help in advance

Give him time, he just needs to get used to being on his own.

They do enjoy buddies though. Mine seems happy with an ace. falcirostris in his tank.

Any suggestions regarding tankmates for this guy??

Mine likes being with the falcirostris.

More tats is most ideal, but I would imagine scombs and raphs to be okay too. If you get a same sized acestrorhynchus, the ace would likely grow faster (which is better since cudas are thin). Watch out though, because there are a lot of brycon dextron labeled as barracudas in the LFS. These will kill the tat.

I also have a Juruense catfish with mine. They don't mind eachother, but they don't seem to wait for feeders together either.

You can add any fish not overly aggressive or small enough to eat, but chances are the tat will not bond with anything other than a hydrolycus, rhaphiodon or acestrorhyncus species.

Do you guys have any fw barracuda in your store right now?

My Payara's been living with Brycon Dentex for a few months now with no problems however my tanks twice your size. If anything the Scomb is the aggressor towards the Brycon - other tank mates - Ace. Falactus, Ace. Falcirostris, Nandus Nandus, RT Chaleus, BGKF, Firemouth, Whiptail cat, Vampire Pleco, AT Datniodes, 3 Bar IT Datniodes - my favorite tank of the 13 currently running.

We actually had a 6" and 8" falcirostris but then out of nowhere somebody bought them :(

SHOOT!:WHOA: I might pick up a ray or some P. bass or a gar. I just want him to attack like he used to.
