So i picked up a catfish today labeled Tatia sp. Hatsudo. I found nothing when I googled it but decided to pick it up anyway as its a fish I have never encountered and figured I could learn something about it some way. However I need help ID'ing in case there is an actual species behind it. The location its from is supposedly the rio Nanay in Peru. Even with this info I still can't pin what it is exactly, I've planet catfish and the closest I've found was Tatia sp 1. The Tatia sp. Peru being sold by AllOddballAquatics looks rather similar to mine, at more then the one on PC. So does any one possibly know if this fish has an actual name or anything that I might have missed? Has anyone here ever seen these or heard of these?
Anyways here are the pics of mine and the ones from AllOddballAquatics. Any help is greatly appreciated

My apologies, I'm terrible at taking pictures.
EDIT: The specs visible in my photos are from when I painted the background on my tank, they are nothing to be worried about.

Believe it’s centromochlus macracanthus from the body markings.
Rare cat for sure. Like those driftwoods huh?! Lol...same here. Nice find.

Oh yeah I do, I love when come out to feed and they zip around like little sharks
but I'll give C. macra a look again, but I do believe they are found in the Rio negro typically. However mine is about 3.25in TL if I had to give a guess so it would be at or nearing her max size, if it is in fact a C. macra. which looking at it now it could very well be. I may go post a thread on PC to get a second opinion for good measure.

Wow, you got Steve Grant "The Dark One" to chime in! Last time I saw him on PCF seems like it was 5 years ago.

He is a great expert, of the caliber that writes scientific or at least popular-science articles. Such a shame he's been in MIA on PCF. I miss his input. He is one of those guys whose contributions one would be wise to not miss but read carefully, heed, and learn from.

Ron too blew me away here, I must add. I had little idea that he is that proficient with driftwood catfish, even obscure ones. You'll be our "go to" guy for them! Excellent job, Sherlock!

I actually thought that was it, which is I brought it up in PC thread. However they were not certain either. Thus I was ready to accept it as C. macra until I was told to talk to Steve.
