i decided recently im getting an arowana tatoo, japanese koi style. as dither fish or fillers in the tatoo i wanted some rainbow fish. But I didnt know which kind i wanted in there so at work today i bought one or 2 of every kind that I liked, figured Id fatten them up to get the colors out and then id be able to make a better decision. funny thing I found out in doing so is that adding this huge amount of fish to my tank made my little unstable indo datnoids become fully stable in color and no longer hiding... so im pretty happy bout that...

INteresting....do your dats chase them around?

nope they just swim around happily now... n sometimes just kinda sit their watching them as they pass... theres a good chance theyll kill them soon :P

but well see how it goes...

Nice I have a tattoo that is a jap style intended for a koi in most cases but I used an arowana but it was completely drawn up for me.

an arow tattoo could look very cool...but make sure the artist gets it right because they have a very distinct look and im sure they have never done one before...unlike the ever popular koi

sounds interesting. You should do a koirowana hybrid tattoo, like michael's :D

nice... pics?

Draw up exactly what you want first in b&w and have your artist run the art through his thermal copier. Transfer image to skin for reference. Freehand would be risky! I don't care how good the artist is!

Saw some guy walking out of a shop with one on his forarm.. coming back to get one on his other forarm.. Which is why I won't get one.. because they've gotten so popular that people just come and pick them off of tattoo shop walls..

I do think austins is awesome though if done in huge size with water/something around it.. just not a fan of the tattoo shop ones everyone gets.

Arow sounds cool. And yeah looks like you're looking to do something like michaels..
