I want to set up my 20 something gallon tank in the tattoo shop I just opened recently. Any suggestions on what to put in there. Preferably something that will not out grow the tank or at least not for a while.

I'm thinking a green terror or some smaller cichlids. I thought about jewels, but I know I'll probably just end up with one jewel hording the tank. Is there a smaller variety of piranha I can put in it. Red bellies get too big I know, but they look so striking. The black rhombs get even bigger.

I forget who started the thread, but there is a really good thread with ideas on here about a satanic looking tank. That is the only type of tank I see fitting into a tattoo shop and looking cool.

I wish I had some suggestions on stock, but I don't know too many smaller fish with great personalities. Sure, you can have a bunch of tetras or something, but that gets boring. There are smaller piranha, but I don't know their tank parameters and space needed. Smaller africans can be boring too. I'd look for some type of oddball fish that can live out it's life in a 20 gallon, even if you only end up with one fish, at least it will be a fish most people have not seen.

Here is the link to the satanic tank thread by Knifegill, I just was able to find it- http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=358031&highlight=satanic

african leaf fish, african butterfly fish smallest member of arowana family, african brown knife any of these plus a school of congo tetras 3 or so. would be a cool tank with some odd looking fish the leaf and knife may eventualy need new homes but the butterfly fish would be good for life.

Wimple p, sachezi/spilo? Not too sure about their needs, but They are a smaller variety of the piranha. I think riverdale has some sanchezis.

A small group of Dwarf Puffers would work...

you could do a pair of convicts...

I think the school of glass catfish would be pretty sweet. Black khuli loaches...

what sort of shop do you run anyways? Not all tattoo shops are drenched in the satanic/evil vibe. Whats the vibe in your place already like?
