So with taxes coming I'm thinking it's tank upgrade time! Looking for 300 gallons with maybe one overflow. No some quick questions.. Any input on what brands to look at? I'm thinking perfecto since my LFS carries them and I won't need to pay shipping! Also any thoughts on filtration? Mostly pond filter VS sump? What would use more electricity id say it'll be fairly even but looking for experiences.
Sumps would be nice to hide heaters but the backwash of a pond filter is also beneficial.. But would have to run inline heaters or just have them in tank.
I know it's a rant but I'm brainstorming

Yeah I'm kind of leaning towards that... Just saw a thread using a 125 as a sump for a 300 and I happen to be upgrading from a 135 so leaning that way.. Tons of media.. Maybe a small area for a bunch of plants then my return pump

If going that route go.

FIlter socks...then plant chamber...then media...then pumps.
Try and keep the light for the plants outta the media area.

Sadly this tax season is paying off the grow out supplies... To be a noob lol
