Tea cup in 125?

No it couldn't IMO. They are one of the smaller rays but 125 is still to small. I'm not a ray guy yet, but from the general consensus I've seen you need around 3.5-4' footprint for most rays. I could way wrong but that's what I've gathered.
 
It would work for a few years or longer. My retic is going on two years old and is just now maybe a 8 inch disc now. Mine is in a 200 with a motoro pup. What else would be in there?

Nope.
Go get the three hundred and get it set up then you can start thinking about it. Until then work on settling filtration and everything else before you get too far ahead of yourself.

That's a lot. You will need a good filtration system. They put out high ammonia. A 300 is a bit extreme for a retic Ray. They stay small for most there life. Also not everyone can afford or fit a 300. I have a 200 and 300

I'm saying not to get a retic and get a more beginner friendly ray.
He said in another post he was getting a 300.
