so my science teacher wants me to set up an aquarium for him he has a 20 long and i was thinking a pair of convicts what do you guys (and girls) think

If it's for school, a pair would be great..nothing like a breeding pair of cons. I did it for my science teacher over 25 years ago..worked very well back then.

The breeding might get out of hand though, and cause a bigger problem.

I would do a few neon/cardinal tetras and a pair of swordtails. Just my $.02

I'd ask the teacher first how he will feed and maintain the tank. Nes999 has a point. That would influence the choice of fish best for their tank.

I would go with Angel fish, I set that up for my science teacher 4 years ago and she love it ! angel fish are gentle and they will not mess up the water, the water care would be easy !

I would love to have a student like you! Best to consult with the teacher. Time he can invest might vary from cons to lionhead goldfish....

yeah best to tlk to him some more im always in his room cuz he has 2 corn snakes a bearded dragon a rose turantula and an alligator

I set up a tank for my teacher it a 5gal and she loves it. :)
