teacup sting rays?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
as long as u keep keep on top of water changes 25-50% a week minimum and feed them properly it shouldnt be difficult. i just purchaced 2 of them for my 300g that is still not finished cycling. ive been adding filter media twice a week from my other tanks and stability every day along with 30-40% water changes daily until the cycle finishes. they are very sensitive to ammonia and nitrite. i wouldnt recommend anything smaller then a 125 for 2 retics and u must over filter.

ok how much do they usually cost i seen one cheap at tfd but i been doing some readyng on them guess there not the best too buy from what do they usually cost anyone??

ive seen them from 100-200$. if u want a stingray and u dont have a 300 plus gallon tank a "teacup" reticulatus is your only choice. they grow about a 1/3 of the size of a motoro.

getting them to eat is the hard part from what I have read. After they start eating they are as hardy as Motoro's. The ones from TFD should be fine, although I would quarantine it first and treat with anti parasite meds. The stingray section is your best bet to go chat about these Retic's. I have read of quite a few people getting rays from TFD.

i ordered mine from tangled up in cichlids. they were very healthy upon arrival. never did buisness with tfd.

people should be a little less quick to make jokes at someone who doesnt know these things...

We have all asked the same questions or ones similar at one point or another.

stacy i hope you find a ray i myself will be getting one as soon as i buy a monster tank.

GOOD LUCK :)
