hey guys i wanted to know what you guys thought about my next setup and will it work.

54 gallon corner unit bare bottom.

i want to house a flowerhorn a red terror and a teacup stingray.

Will this work? can they all coexist? will i have casualties?

please let me know if any of you had these in the tank before. thanks in advance.

what ph would i need to house all these guys in? i know the flowerhorn and red terror should be at 7.6 or so and i hear(from most of my lps) that the stingrays need to be at 6.8-7.0.

The flowerhorn and red terror together would not work out in the long run, let along with a ray in the mix.

What kind of ray is your "teacup" ray?

You should always leave your ph alone. Stable is the best PH for any fish as long as it is somewhere between 7-8.

New world cichlids and rays don't mix so no red terror. Also a no on the flowerhorn.

Depending on the footprint of the tank it would only be large enough to house a 3"-4" ray for 3-6 months max before it would need a larger tank.

I would reccomend you read all the stickies in the ray forum before making any purchases

Good Luck :)

im planning to pick up 3 teacup stingrays this weekend. please let me know what my water parameters should be. the guy in my lps said the ph should be 6.8 what temperature do u guys keep your rays at? thanks!!

In a 55 you will keep 3 rays for about 3 -6 months. Do not do it.

Teacups are normally retics but PLEASE read throughthe stickies. You will fail and kill those rays in a 55 gal. My sump is twice the size of that tank.

Teacup just means non specified baby ray, they will get from 12 to 24 inch disc depending on what they are....maybe more.

If you have to ask if a 55 is big enough then you certainly do not know enough about rays to keep them alive.
