Never seen these in stores before, only got them recently. How wide does their disks get and do they keep the whip-like tail?

The top one is Retic Stingrays or Potamotrygon Reticulata. they get to be between 10-14 inches on average, some even larger. They are one of the best rays if you can afford to have anything above a 180 gallon. My 10 inch male has a thick tail, but my 8 inch female still has a whip type. The better fed they are the thicker the tail will become. I can't tell your bottom pic.
 
my male has a fat tail and my female has the whiplike tail, but as shark.bait said it really depends on how they are eating. The ray in the bottom pick looks skinny, are they eating? how long have you had them?
 
How long do male retics get from their nose to the end of their tail?
