how hard is it to tear down 15g tanks?
i have 3 spare 2 by 1 foot tanks and if it isnt too hard,i'll probably try my hand at making them into one tank.
what are the procedures in doing so?

I wouldn't recommend it. I don't think the glass for a 15gallon is strong enough to handle the pressure of 45 gallons. I could be wrong though. this would be better posted in the "DIY" section. they will have better info.

for tearing down tanks, all you need is a vice grip, a box cutter, an exacto knife, a flathead screwdriver, and a place to put the glass when it comes off. I tore a couple doen before, but i didnt make it into a bigger tank.

It's a 2 stop process ...

Step 1 ..
list them on CL

Step 2 ..
Buy a 55

seriously, only list 2 & turn the other into a sump for your newly purchased 55..

i agree with lil stinker.. it wouldnt be worth the effort. plus keeping one would be a great sump like he said..

I have 2 55s I haev to get rid of in order to get the 125 I am eyeing, so there is another option..

Although shipping to you may be costly.

LOL
im just trying for the fun of it. :D
would 2 15g tanks work?
like a 2 by 2 foot tank?
would the glass be strong enough to withstand the water?
