Technically, I'm still the enemy...

I just got hired as the Pet Care Manager at a local Petco... I currently work as a Pet Care Associate/Lead at Petsmart and just got fed up with how the department was run, so I started applying for manager positions at various stores.

I'm so excited, I can finally run my own department my own way. Hire employees that I feel are appropriate or trainable. And finally be able to refuse inappropriate sales without fear of the department manager being an ass about it. But most importantly, I can special order in reptiles (well, I can special order in anything in any department but c'mon, they're giving me a book with 200+ reptiles and amphibians, I'm having fun with that lol).

So, I know I'm still the enemy since I'm working at the supply chain stores, but hey, could be worse! I can't wait to get in there and start rebuilding that department and bringing in my own staff.

grats way to go. I actualy went to a petco other day and they didnt have any dead fish. tanks werre clean. i was impressed

Your only the enemy if you miss use your authority and knowledge and lead your staff into only being interested in sales and not whether someone is prepared for taking care of the animals that you are selling. So if you share your love, knowledge and passion for fish and reptiles to those who need help and direction then you will not be the enemy but someone who might bring some credibility to Petco
