A teddy bear has killed 2500 fish at a fish farm in New Hampshire.
According to a report from The Mercury News, state officials believe that the bear was dropped into a pool at the Fish and Game Department's hatchery in Milford earlier this month, causing a drain to clog.
Hatcheries supervisor Robert Fawcett told The Mercury News that the blockage caused 2500 trout to suffocate. He believes the bear, which was dressed in a yellow raincoat and hat at the time, is the first to have caused fatalities at the fish farm.

Fawcett was reported as saying: "We've had pipes get clogged, but it's usually with more naturally occurring things, like a dead frog or a muskrat. "This one turned out to be a teddy bear and we don't know how it got there. It's kind of a cute little teddy bear and people wouldn't think that a cute little teddy bear would be able to kill fish."
Fawcett urged anyone who drops a bear into a fish farm pool to find a fish farmer and ask them to remove it: "They might save your teddy bear and keep it from becoming a killer."
A written notice now appears at the facility stating "Release of any teddy bears into the fish hatchery water is not permitted."
