I have a large 12 or 13 inch dovii,and to be honest ive actually never seen his teeth like ive seen on other doviis.why is this.I honestly dont think he has teeth.

parchromis as with other cichlids do lose their teeth, mine have chipped and lost theres do to moveing my large river rocks and such, but i have a educated guess they have teeth mainly when there diet is mostly consistent of live prey, such as other fish and such. if you have't seen yours have teeth theres a good chance he doesn't have any. they do grow back, but not immediatlly.
Yeah my Jag just lost his first tooth biting rocks but it is growing in slowly. It's funny cuz he only has one tooth lol. The fish I think that I have that looses the most teeth is my White Midas he is always losing tone of teeth. Oh and maybe your Dovii isn't growing them yet but he will when he is older I mean sometimes it takes time.

My little female has had her teeth sice around the 4 inch mark.....I guess every species is just that-Different.....
Now my FH has a nice set of teeth-And he is constantly haveing to grow them back from thinking he is some kind of bulldozer or loader or soemthing.....But they grow back in the matter of a week or so....
