What do y'all feed your tegus? Mine gets mostly ground turkey (which he loves!) and ZooMed's Tegu/Monitor food (which he tolerates) and the occasional market shrimp. He's an Argentine Red Tegu about 14" including the tail.

Do You mean pellets? If so he wont eat any of the ones I've tried.

Dont forget his fruits after hes about a year of age. Mine loves bananas, grapes, mango, apple, cantaloupe, strawberries, etc. Also mine loves eggs, superworms, cockroaches, crickets, chicken, turkey, pork, beef, snails, mice, rats, gerbils, and dry catfood. Also mine at one time or another tried chili, fried rice, earthworms, small lizards snakes and turtles (while foraging in the yard), reptile eggs, and ft quail. Mine is a male Argentine B&W about 4 years old and 3 and a half feet long. He has been hibernated since he was a baby.

Since tegus seem to be like garbage disposal, eating just about anything, what about feeding them fish food? I was feeding Hikari Massivore pellets to my fish last night, when the idea struck me. I didn't give him any yet, wanted to get some input first.

I really don't know. I've fed water monitors krill before but thats completely different. I would look at the ingredients on the fish food and see if there's anything on there that looks suspect and go from there. Also, try feeding young quail if he's big enough and you have the heart to, mine loved them.
