She was only up for about half an hour but i tell ya its good to see her again. I gave her half my plumb that I happened to be eating. She is pretty skinny but that will change soon. I will update this thread as she comes out more but here are a few teaser pics. She was obviously very thirsty as you can tell from the last pic lol. It seemed like she downed like 3 gallons of water.

Thanks guys! Gave her some fish today too and she ate that. She also came out to bask for a couple of hours. She is still getting into the swing of things. Tomorrow I am going to feed her tons of protein and hopefully we can get her metabolism back up quickly.

heat and activity activate the metabolism, not food... I wouldn't be in too much of a rush to give her large meals. added heat (basking), warm baths and exercise are what she needs to rejuvenate that metabolism.

She's gorgeous.

I love the pic of her with her head under water. I've seen my Tegu drink countless of times from many different water sources, but I've never seen him dunk his head like that. These animals never cease to amaze me.......

Thanks for the comment... yea I have never seen her drink like that either but then i don't think I have ever been there when she was just emerging from hibernation.

Thanks.

Snapped some pics of her this morning. What a sweet lizard she is. She wouldn't eat for me today but that's OK we will try again tomorrow. Added some descent pics of most of the setup. Always looking for suggestions on improvement.
