My tegu is normally puppy dog tame, though I've only had him a month or two now.
I've been feeding him a lot of what he actually needs, and I'm not sure his dietary requirements were met before I got ahold of him as his tail has nearly doubled in thickness at it's base.
Up until two days ago he had no problems with me handling him - but now when I lift the cage top off he literally takes a running jump to snap at my hands.
I noticed he's starting a shed, so I gave him a long warm soak in the bath tub - but I'm hoping I can attribute this behavior to the fact that he's shedding and doesn't feel like being touched, over him turning into an aggressive tegu almost overnight.
Any thoughts?
