Well next Tuesday i am supposed to be getting a pair of RedxBlue hybrid tegus.:headbang2:nilly:

the problem is i cannot find cypress mulch anywhere and thats what everyone recomends. so now i am thinking about going with a top soil/sand/ leaf litter mixture. does anyone have any experience using this combo? i feel it should work since they love to dig. and having the sand and top soil mix will work to hold good burrows and encourage natural digging. and the leaf litter i will get from outside and treat accordingly and then mix in the dirt and also keep on top to help keep the soil from drying out and thus keeping the humidity up..

just wondering what everyone thinks about this idea.

my lhs has them on bark

i was going to use bark but the only bark i have avalible is the crap they sell at petco. and that stuff is expensive.

only stuff ive seen at home depot is pine mulch and cedar mulch and i cant use either of those.

Pet store bark is rediculously over priced. I have a hard time finding mulch to. You may need to go to a nursery.
