yes it is semi-venomous can only affect and kill lizards or small animals ( mice - birds .. etc )

but no harm on human and not deadly @ all

it is also called Egyptian Tiger Snake & he has backward teeth

i live in Egypt .. but that snake found in all north Africa deserts

yeah he is so cool i am going to get one but not now :D

I keep T. dhara. Actually, these snakes have quite large venom storage glands. The absolutely have the ablity to grab with a quick bite and envenomate a human! The venom appears to be relatively similar to Death Adder (Acanthophis antarcticus) venom. The fangs of T. dhara are not well developed, therefore envenomating a human is not usually easy, but they should not be dismissed as not dangerous to humans. In the event one were to actually get a grip on you (and it CAN happen) you could be in serious trouble. There is no antivenin for this complex of snakes. I would suppose that, in theory, Australian Tiger Snake antiserum could be used in the event of an emergency, but I am not a doctor, merely surmising based on experience with venomous snakes. I also keep a Sulawesi Balck Mangrove Snake (Boiga dendrophila gemmicinctus). Because I do educational programs with snakes, I NEVER free handle either of these two species! There is no upside to doing so. I admit that a bite would be unlikely to be a problem, but do you really want to find out the hard way? I hook and tail only on these snakes.
