Could be interesting. I haven't ever been to a fish swap or auction, but I would definitely watch it on TV!

There are plenty of live tropical fish auctions put on by local aquarium societies and national organizations throughout the USA. Here is a link to a calendar of events: http://www.kingfishservices.net/?page_id=123

Join a tropical fish club in your area. It's a great way to meet other aquarists and gain access to fish and plants. Most clubs have monthly meetings with guest lecturers presenting talks on all aspects of the tropical fish hobby. Search the net for a club near you. Anyone looking for a club in the Northeast US can send me a PM. I can help you locate one in your area.

I'd love to find a club in Rhode Island or Southern New England. Been wanting to join one for a while now.
