Chaetostoma cf. thomsoni -- it looks like a pleco. the lfs sold it to me as a rubberlip pleco. it's got a nice, olive green coloring with white spots on it's head area. does anyone have one? can you tell me what to expect? i placed it in my 55 gal and it seems very happy. he's about 2 inches. i was told that it might reach 4 or 5 inches at maturity.

Some lfs's sell several chaetostoma species as rubberlip plecs. the species you got was most likely this Chaetostoma sp.-phillydog1958;3484969; said:

a firly small plec. check out the link, itll be very helpful.
basically you really have to pay attention to it untill you see its stomach fill out, because the ones in the lfs are often underfed.
