Vontehillo's?

Doesn't look anything like midas/rd to me, but i don't know else "hilo's" there are

Xiloaensis are a typical amphilophus. Come in barred or colored. There seem to be a lot of orange and white ones available. As far as looks they are like a small midas to me. Generally males will only get 8-9" which makes them much more suitable for most tanks compaired to some of the others. I would say they are very similiar aggression wise to a midas as well.

These are the ones I am talking about. Very cool. I had no idea there was such a fish. Anyone have any pics of this species as adults?

There are a couple on his homepage (www.tangledupincichlids.com) and I think on his vendor page here.

Really good fish. They look and act pretty much just like a midas, come in colored or barred versions, and don't get quite as large, so a 75 gallon is a nice fit for them.

Rapps website is where I first saw these fish. Wish I had a couple extra tanks to pick up some fish from him!

They are a very nice fish. I have about 30 growouts from Reagan. If you look him up on photobook he probably has some pics of his wild orange and white pair. I do not have any adults, only a bunch of 3" ones that haven't peeled yet so I can't offer any adult pictures.

Suprised Jason_S hasn't chimmed in yet. He would be a good one to contact, here is one of his Youtube Video's we have put on our "Amphilophus Connection" facebook page.
