i just got back from seeing wuts new at my lfs, and these caught my eye. can thewy go with my painted turtle

yes they can go with your painted turtle, but i would set your tank up for the map turtle they need alot cleaner water then painted turtles need, maps are know for getting eye infections in tainted water. They are a neat turtle males are small and the females are alot larger. Mississippi maps are heartier than the eastern or the southern map. Read a care sheet or two. These are a very common turtle in the trade.
They require VERY clean water, females get pretty large, and they are much more active, riverine turtles unlike pond dwelling painteds. You can probably do it if the siaze different isnt too great and you have ALOT of space.
