Tell me all about African Snakehead

Will you consider them as a pet, since they grow to only up to a feet? Are they rare in the trade market? Is there any other version of African Snakehead (more color) than its dull brownish color (adult)? Whats the price your willing to pay for them? Are they make good tankmates with datnoid and arowana when it raise as a baby with them? ty ty I need some comments

They are in my opinion one of the most striking species, they are shy and would think they would do well with tankmates, but I would prefer to do a species tank for them.

definatley, try to get as many as you can... channa species only tanks when planted look magnificent!

Here is a fully grown one from my friend in Asia. Good tankmates are bichirs and datnoids. $40 sounds like a deal!
