Ok, options for the new tank are the following, can you please tell me what you think is the best option...

8x3x2 (360gal) - drilled, cabinet, 35gal sump - $2500 AUD

8x3x2 (360gal) - weir, cabinet, 90gal sump - $3000 AUD

10x3x2 (450gal) - weir, cabinet, 90gal sump - $3500 AUD

What does everyone think?

Got silver aros, spotted gar at the moment for my monsters.

Wanna get an adonis and some other stuff.

if you have the money i reckon the bigger the better - only because i would kick myself if i had the money to buy the 10x3x2 and only bought the 8x3x2.

i guess it all depends on your cashflow mate! but my opinion is the 10x3x2 =) good luck!

How did I know that on a site named "monster" fish keepers that they would tell me to get the biggest one?

Booking it in to get made tomorrow.

Thanks guys.

If you don't get the biggest, you would regret it after you got it.

"Go big or go home!"

Yeah booking it in today to get the 10x3x2 made up for me.

Still going to need some ideas on the best practice to be able to transfer my fish over straight away.

I was going to run my exisiting Fluval FX5 on the tank aswell as the sump while colonization occurs in the sump.

Im also getting 3x44gal drums to keep my water from my 150gal so really when its up and running it should be like Ive done a 70% water change on the tank, LOL.

Are there any other ideas what I should be doing to make this as safe as possible for my fish and be able to get them straight into their new home?

Im going to put heaters in 2 out of the 3 44gal drums to keep the water at temperature aswell as when filling the tank ill be adding hot water to try to up the temperature.

Does anyone also know what kind of temperature loss you expect from heating the sump? Ie. set heaters in sump to 27 degrees celsius to obtain 27 degrees celsius in the tank?

Looking forward to some monster advice guys.
