Hey people im just curious how do you tell some very young dovii and say some very young jags apart?
from all ive heard they look very similar.

what do you call VERY YOUNG?
these are about 4 inch Parachromis dovii
the left one is a male (will get about 2 foot long) ... right is a female (will get about 15 inch long) ...

really, really, tiny young cichlids can be tough to positively id because they all look like tiny gray fish! 
It doesn't pay to be brightly colored when you are tiny and edible!

really tiny Im just curious about how its done... coz I have no idea? would u have to get a microscope out?
