Hi my 16" Temensis that is not looking to good. He gets picked in from my Kelberi and thrashes around a lot. I just noticed he has blood in his eyes. Any suggestions? Thank you.

There is nothing you can do. If this the case, he may go blind in one eye.

Hmm. Does look like blood, I'm very suprised that it is in both eyes. Is the tem responsive to you walking over to the tank and at feeding time? Maybe do a serious of water changes to help heal any damage. Keep an eye on the fish's pupil. Hopefully they don't decrease in size.

Do you have decor in the tank such as driftwood?Sometimes fish get chased around the tank and if the tank is not lit and the room is rather dark at the time then they could injure their eyes as they brush past an object. From time to time I have come home to find some of my fish with mysterious eye injuries and I could come up with no other cause than what I have just mentioned.

I don't have any decorations in the tank. He is very reactive when to come up to the tank. I am keeping water clean 0 Ammonia and Nitrite, Nitrates ate kept below 20. Well I guess we will see what happens.

Yeah. That's all you can do. I've never had blood in a Bass's eye, only white haze from scratches which always healed.
