My Tem's are around 6-7 inches, what water temp is best at this size ,and as they get larger.................

I can somewhat attest to this.....My tanks are in my basement which is about seventy five to seventy seven degrees in the summer so I don't need to use my heaters during this time.I did notice that once the temps began to drop to where I had to plug in the heaters and raise the water temperature,my fish appear to be more active.hillbilly;4539688; said:Mid to high eighties Fahrenheit is the best overall temp with lots of aeration IMO. That also goes for other Amazonian fish as well. You will find them more active with increased appetites and digestion, which leads to faster growth, and better resistance to common diseases with the increased temperatures.
