My Tem's are around 6-7 inches, what water temp is best at this size ,and as they get larger.................

Thx in advance.

I would say at least 78 degrees and it probably would'nt mind it if your temperature was slightly higher as long as there is plenty of oxygen.

Don't keep the tems but all my fish including my p,s i keep in the low 80's and when small high 80's

I keep my tem in 86F water. He's doing great. He's 14" long or so, last time I measured him.

Mid to high eighties Fahrenheit is the best overall temp with lots of aeration IMO. That also goes for other Amazonian fish as well. You will find them more active with increased appetites and digestion, which leads to faster growth, and better resistance to common diseases with the increased temperatures.

I can somewhat attest to this.....My tanks are in my basement which is about seventy five to seventy seven degrees in the summer so I don't need to use my heaters during this time.I did notice that once the temps began to drop to where I had to plug in the heaters and raise the water temperature,my fish appear to be more active.

78-84, just like any other fish from that region. People keep young cichla in higher temps to help fight off ich, once they get a big bigger you can lower the temps back down
