Temesis are illegal in florida????

I was browsing the internet, and I came across that on wikipedia. I know wikipedia can't be trusted, but I just want to know.
 
That's a new one to me...considering that the state stocked its waters with them, I doubt it.

Well, the state stocked with mono/ocellaris I believe. I don't think there are any Tems that were stocked.
 
Upon further research, it looks like they also stocked Tems, but they didn't fare well, and mostly died out. It would be interesting if any Florida members have caught a Temensis in FL.
 
There still are tems at private locations in south fla. ,but all that were stocked in the canal systems did not make it due to human and environmental reasons.
